Thomas Annang

UK Pivot is happy to spotlight as one of our features for the month of April, Mr. Thomas Annang. Thomas is a traditional African Drummer who hails from Ghana but who has made Belfast his home for a number of years.

Not only is Thomas a professional drummer, he is also a trained dancer who spent 9 years with the Akrowa Dance Ensemble in Ghana. Akrowa Dance Ensemble had a complement of dancers and drummers who performed at many festivals and high profile events in his native country.

Since moving to Northern Ireland, Thomas has made his performing presence felt across many communities. His spirited drumming and dancing has led to the creation of courses and workshops where he teaches his craft.
